Cyber Snoop 4.0 |

All Builds |
Cyber Snoop is a utility that can coexist with most other third party Windows applications and utilities. This is accomplished by conforming to strict operating system and programming standards defined for the Windows Operating System. Conflicts can occur when other 3rd party applications or utilities compete for common resources or do not adhere to agreed upon standards.
The following applications or utilities have been known to conflict with Cyber Snoop 4.0
- WebHancer
- New.net
- McAfee Firewall
- ComScore
- Wingate
- Freedom Firewall
- WebHancer
- Remove WebHancer. WebHancer is a service that secretly gathers information about Web site behavior from the actual machines of Internet users. The architecture of WebHancer starts with a tiny user-installed program that is bundled with more than 80 widely distributed products and programs, such as certain MP3 players, gaming software and Flash media content. Although this method of getting WebHancer onto end users' systems is certainly questionable in respect to user privacy, most users unknowingly opt-in and accept its installation.
To uninstall WebHancer, please refer to the WebHancer product information or the WebHancer website.
- New.net
- Remove New.net. New.net sells domain names with new extensions other than current Web site addresses ending in .com, .net, and other existing top level domains.
To uninstall New.net, please refer to the New.net product information or the New.net website.
- McAfee_gdlsp
- Remove McAfee Firewall. This firewall installs itself in the Winsock2 layer of your network. Because McAfee pushes itself to the first entry in the Winsock 2 layer, it is not compatible with Cyber Snoop or any other Winsock2 compatible applications. It is recommended that you use any one of the many freely available firewalls that do not have this requirement.
- ComScore
- Remove ComScore. ComScore provides comprehensive information available on Internet users, including buying behavior, anywhere on the Web.
- Wingate
- Remove Wingate and upgrade to Microsoft's built in Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) available on Windows 98 and later versions.
- Freedom Firewall
- Remove the Freedom Firewall. This firewall installs itself in the Winsock2 layer of your network. Because Freedom pushes itself to the first entry in the Winsock 2 layer, it is not compatible with Cyber Snoop or any other Winsock2 compatible layered providers. It is recommended that you use any one of the many freely available firewalls that do not need to be the first entry in Winsock2.
