Background:
When installing Pearl Echo, the following message is displayed:

Solution:
In this case, the error occured because atl.dll was not registered correctly.

To register atl.dll, complete the following steps:

1. On the "Start" menu click "Run".
   
2. Type regsvr32 /u atl.dll in the "Open" box and click ok or run. This unregisters the file.
   
3. Move atl.dll from c:\winnt\system32 to another location. For example, put the file on your desktop.
   
4. Restart the computer and put atl.dll back in c:\winnt\system32.
   
5. On the "Start" menu click "Run".
   
6. Type regsvr32 atl.dll in the "Open" box and click ok or run. This registers the file.

You are now able to run the Pearl Echo installation program correctly.
